Silver Lake Elementary Dads' Club
GET INVOLVED. MAKE A DIFFERENCE. HAVE SOME FUN.
The Silver Lake Elementary Dads' Club is a group of dedicated fathers, grand fathers, father-figures, and male role models who come together to support our students, staff, and school community through hands-on involvement and meaningful events.
Our Dads' Club plays a big role in some of Silver Lake’s most loved traditions—including building and running the Fun Run obstacle course, crafting our school’s spectacular Parade of Lights float, hosting the exciting Dadwood Derby, and spending quality time with students during Doors with Dads. We also have more events and initiatives in the works as we continue to grow and expand our impact!
But it’s not just about events—it’s about connection and purpose.
When dads, grandfathers, and male role models get involved in school life, the impact is profound. Research shows that children with actively involved male figures are significantly more likely to:
- Earn better grades and score higher on achievement tests
- Develop stronger verbal and problem‑solving skills
- Show greater stress tolerance and enjoy improved peer relationships
- Participate more in extracurricular activities and exhibit fewer behavioral issues
By simply showing up—whether it’s lending a hand, bringing tools for a project, or cheering kids on—you’re helping foster confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning in the students around you. Your presence doesn’t just matter—it makes a measurable difference.
The Dads’ Club is a powerful way to build community, create meaningful memories, and support not only your own kids, but all kids at Silver Lake. Together, we create an environment where every student feels seen, supported, and empowered to thrive.
Come be a part of something special. All are welcome!
